Watch Costa Quebrada from the sea. Kayak and Stand Up Paddle routes
July-September.
The Bay of Biscay can be a raging, fierce sea during winter storms. But from springtime until autumn, under certain weather conditions such as sustained southern, offshore wind days, the water surface can be extremely calmed. These days it is possible to reach some otherwise inaccesible spots at the base of the high cliffs, islets or isolated beaches.
This particular new perspective lets us perceive the Park in a different way, as we paddle on top of the same waters that endlessly carve the rocks, thus sculpting the diverse geologic landmarks present at the coast. Covachos tombolo or some Urros (the local term for islets) can be quite impressive when admired at a short distance.
There are several different itineraries, each with a particular degree of difficulty. Kayaks, paddles and wetsuits are provided. By joining these routes you can enjoy the the view of the Park most appealing sectors from the sea, while practicing safe water sports.
This experience is carried out along with the collaborator local company Alagua Surf. The date availability depends on the weather and swell conditions, so it is necessary to contact in advance with this operator in order to check the details and forecasts.
